In 2009 the Village of Kent City switched to one refuse service provider to eliminate problems with multiple trash/recycling trucks in the area along with other issues.
The Village of Kent City has signed a new 4-year agreement with Granger Recycling & Disposal Service, Inc. Listed below are the charges effective January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023.

- $3.50/each – Refuse tags – $35.00/10 tags
- $5.69/month – Recycling Service, 96 gallon recycling cart
