DPW Department
 The Department of Public Works consists of one full time supervisor,
one full time assistant and one part time "as needed" employee. The DPW provides a variety of services for the Village of Kent City including the road maintenance, park maintenance, snow removal, and storm water infrastructure. In general they are responsible for all the workings of the Village. DPW Services: -Yard Waste Policy The Village has an area where you can dump tree debris if you are doing major tree or brush removal. This area is locked and fenced. Please call the Village Office to make arrangements. -Christmas Tree (see Yard Waste Policy) -Snow Removal (see General Ordinances-Sidewalk Ordinance No. 5.92.10 & Amended No. 9.06-05) --Clean Up Days - Contact Tyrone Township at 616-678-4779 for information. Municipal Trash Service Begins January 6, 2009. The Village of Kent City has formalized a contract with Blue Water Sanitation to provide a unified trash pick up for all residential properties within its boundaries. The switch over became effective January 1, 2009 with the first pickup date being January 6, 2009. Two different levels of service are being provided: Cart Service and Budget Tag Service.
