Property Maintenance Board of Appeals

The Property Maintenance Board of  Appeals hears appeals from any person directly affected by a decision of the Property Maintenance Code Official.  The written application for appeal must be filed within 20 days after the day the decision, notice or order is served.  An appeal shall be based on a claim that the true intent of the code or rules have been incorrectly interpreted, or the provisions of the code do not fully apply, or the requirements of the code are adequately satisfied by other means.

Spring/Summer Reminders:

What to do with yard waste is the number one question we get in the Spring and Summer. The Village will pick up some brush and grass clippings free of charge. The Yard Waste Policy is available on the website or by contacting the Village Office..

This service does not include trees that you have taken down or major trimming. The Village has a secured area where you can dump tree debris. Contact the DPW Manager at 616-293-0693 to make arrangements to drop off your debris.

Other issues: Before planting trees and bushes or installing sprinkler heads please make sure they are on your property and not in the Village right-of-way.

NOTE: For your convenience the Village provides a drop box for payments and other communications. The drop box is located on the South East side of the Village Office building. Remember that all payments left in the box will be receipted as of the next business day.
